CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

About the IEEE-IAS/ACA Cement Conference

The IEEE-IAS/ACA Cement Conference is the cement industry’s premier technical conference, bringing together cement producers, engineers, researchers, equipment and service providers, and industry partners from around the world. For more than six decades, the conference has served as a forum for sharing practical knowledge, advancing cement manufacturing technology, and fostering collaboration across the global cement community.

The conference is known for its deep technical content, peer-reviewed papers, and real- world insights that attendees can take back to their plants, projects, and organizations. In addition to technical sessions, the event features targeted training modules, poster presentations, a plant tour, and structured networking opportunities designed to encourage meaningful conversation and knowledge exchange.

Whether you are a seasoned industry professional or new to the cement field, the IEEE- IAS/ACA Cement Conference offers an unmatched opportunity to learn from peers, share expertise, discover emerging solutions, and help shape the future of cement manufacturing.

Throughout the program, attendees will experience a mix of technical rigor, practical application, and interactive engagement, with opportunities to learn, question, and collaborate.

2026 Theme: Mix It Up

The 2026 theme, Mix It Up, reflects not only the evolution of the cement industry, but also a deliberate rethinking of the conference experience itself. In response to attendee feedback, the 2026 program introduces several meaningful changes designed to create a more integrated, engaging, and efficient week.

This year’s conference mixes content, conversation, and connection more intentionally across the schedule. The overall program has been streamlined and better integrated, with no standalone general session—allowing technical content, industry perspectives, and association updates to be woven throughout the week. For instance, the Conference Welcome now begins on Monday afternoon, creating an earlier sense of momentum and setting the stage for engagement. We also have a great welcome presenter – magician and illusionist, Jason Latimer.

That’s not the only change in timing. Technical Paper Sessions now begin after the Monday welcome, with a technical paper sessions on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Interactive discussions have been reimagined as well: traditional roundtables have evolved into Cement Mixers, now held in the afternoon to encourage participation, discussion, and cross-disciplinary exchange when energy is highest.

Process Training has been sharpened as well. Rather than offering a broad menu of shorter sessions, the conference features three robust, in-depth training modules, allowing attendees to dive deeper into critical topics and gain practical, applicable knowledge.

Exhibits and knowledge-sharing have been enhanced, too. The exhibit hall will now be open throughout Monday morning and into the early afternoon, extending opportunities for networking and engagement with exhibitors. The 2026 program also introduces a Poster Pavilion, creating a new forum for researchers, practitioners, and emerging professionals to share ideas, spark discussion, and explore work that may not fit into a traditional technical paper format.

Together, these changes reflect the spirit of Mix It Up: blending technical rigor with thoughtful program design, listening to the industry, and creating a conference experience that is more connected, more interactive, and more impactful.
