Spouse/Companion registration is required to attend the spouse activities, the awards banquet and for access to the exhibit hall and special tours described below. Registration costs $315 and is accomplished on the registration site (click on the Blue button bottom left)
This year's spouse/companion program will offer an exciting itinerary giving each participant an opportunity to experience this beautiful part of the world. The information shown here is subject to change and refinement as the program is finalized. Check back here for updates on the details.
Spouse tours will be provided free of charge on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as briefly described below. Participants must register for each individual tour in order to attend. Tours will be limited to the first 100 registrants as they are capacity controlled.
Monday, May 22, 2017 - Lake Louise Sightseeing Tour - The tour will depart Calgary at 8:30am via motor coach. Arrive in Lake Louise at 10:30am where the background of Lake Louise is filled with views of several snow-capped mountains including Mount Temple, Mount Whyte and Mount Niblock. Tour the area for a couple of hours before boarding the bus for Lake Minnewanka in Banff. A boxed lunch is served on the bus. After arriving in Banff there is a two-hour boat tour of the Lake Minnewanka. The Calgary return bus departs at 4:30pm for a 6:00pm arrival back in Calgary.
Tuesday, May 23, 2017 - Experience Banff Tour - The bus will depart at 9:00am for the ride to Banff arriving at 11:00am. Journey to the top of the Banff Gondola to see a whole new side of Sulphur Mountain and the Canadian Rockies. This redesigned and reimagined mountaintop experience, creates a world-class indoor experience that equals the awe-inspiring ridgetop boardwalk 2900 ft. above Banff. From new restaurants and interactive exhibits to a multisensory theatre and a breathtaking 360-degree rooftop observation deck, the all-new Banff Gondola experience heightens every sense. Enjoy lunch at the top of Sulfur Mountain and an afternoon of soaking in the mineral hot springs, shopping and sightseeing in Banff or taking a self-guided Cave and Basin walk/tour. Return busses depart Banff at 4:45pm to arrive back in Calgary by 6:00pm.
Wednesday, May 24, 2017 - Tour Calgary - The bus departs at 9:00am for a brief guided city tour ending at the Calgary Olympic Park (C.O.P.) at 10:00am. There you can enjoy many activities such as the Skyline Luge. The Luge is a unique wheeled gravity ride that provides riders full control over their descent on a purpose built track. Experience 1.8 kilometres (5905 feet) of twists and turns dropping over 100 metres (328 feet) in its course. It's the world's longest Luge track yet! Alternatively you can ride the zip line (or even do both!). At 12:45pm the bus departs for lunch in the Calgary Tower. After lunch you have free time to explore and shop in Calgary before making your way back to your hotel.
Advance registration will be required for tour participation which is accomplished during the Conference registration process.
